School holiday season offers families the opportunity to spend quality time together and to make memories. Here’s some ideas to help you make the most of the school holidays.

Holiday Activity #1: Explore Local Marine Life

If you believe that some of the best learning happens outside of school, then a trip to the Sea Life Sydney Aquarium may be an excellent option for your family. Even the most adventurous child will marvel at Shark Valley. There is something for everyone, whether interested in learning about the Great Barrier Reef, penguins, or the most ancient sea life!

Holiday Activity #2: Take a Walk on the Wildside at the Zoo

If your family prefers land animals, then you may need to take a trip to the Wild Life Sydney Zoo. Actually, you don’t need to choose since the aquarium and zoo offer a package including passes to both attractions.

Animal lovers enjoy the exhibits featuring unique animals like the Kangaroo Walkabout, Gumtree Valley, or the Tasmanian Devil’s Den.

Holiday Activity #3: Brush Shoulders with Celebrities and Historical Figures

Madame Tussauds Sydney also reopened. If you like to mix a bit of fun in with learning, this wax museum is a great option. Kids love posing with movie stars, superheroes, and K-pop performers. They also learn a lot while visiting the Australian History and World Leaders exhibits. They will be having so much fun that they will forget they are learning!

Holiday Activity #4: Cosy Up With a Feline Friend

Cat lovers will be happy to learn that the Catflix Cat Cinema and Catmosphere Cat Cafe are open. The Catflix Cinema even offers private screening for parties of up to five people. You even get to choose the film, the options include dozens of family films including classics, anime, and comedies.

The Catmosphere Cat Cafe is also open. They offer several different experiences ranging from cat yoga, a cat treehouse, to chilling in a classic cat cafe. Many of the cats are available for adoption, so be sure to visit if you happen to be looking for a new family pet.

Holiday Activity #5: Power Up Your Knowledge

The Powerhouse Museum recently reopened. Through interactive exhibits, learn about Australia’s First Nation People and other aspects of Australian culture and history. Exhibits include science, art, architecture, nature and cultural phenomenon.

Holiday Activity #6: View the Night’s Sky

If you or your kids ever wondered about space or the stars, then the Sydney Observatory is a must-visit. Throughout time, thinking about the universe ignited curiosity, creativity and a thirst for learning. Enjoy a sense of awe together with a tour of the night’s sky. Alternately, explore any of the other attractions and exhibits.

Holiday Activity #7: Exercise the Imagination at Sydney’s Premier Indoor Playground

So far, we mainly covered engaging educational activities. However, part of the joy of childhood is taking time to play. Planet Mino is the perfect environment for kids to play and explore.
